    Tarp lines

Knocked these up to make a lighter/smaller rigging kit for my tarp. From Left to right 12m CRL 2.2mm Stein. 4 x 2m dogbone guys, 1.5mm Stein, plus 4 line tensioners not pictured. 8m of 0.85mm dyneema and 2m of shock cord for panal pulls. Not bad for under 80g. Although gone are the days of the stealth hang.☺

Lol! in for a penny in for a pound...you need a fluorescent yellow/ green tarp now!

Sounds like this Stein stuff is the mutts nuts? Have you used zing-it or lash-it in the past? If so, how does it compare to these?

    Cheers

Agreed, bushcraft colours are officially last season, bright orange/yellow this season and autumn winter 2016/17 will be contrast black and white with a showing of deep forest Green with white also. Life's a fashion show 😁

I like Stein, it's difficult to splice but once done it's easier to handle I think. That said I've mostly gone back to dyneema core sheathed stuff but it's annoying not getting a spliced finish

I'm really loving a spliced finish on lines, no more knots for the thin lines to tangle on.
Is zingit easier than Stein to splice as the 1.5mm Stein was a doddle as it was slightly flat from being on the reel and opens up nicely.

I found the Skyline ridiculously easy to splice, a loose weave that opens up nicely.

Yeah, I have stein as well and it's REALLY easy to splice, I usually bury it a little more than the recommendations because it's so loose.

So, does that mean we refer to Scotty as..."Jean Paul Scotty Von Porkchop Gaultier"....or does it just mean that he has lots of black and white and deep forest green material in stock?? :-)

Jean Paul! This ain't the 90s 😉. It's mainly do to me slowly going blind sewing muted colours all day, i was so unbelievably happy when someone ordered a ultra bright topquilt the other day. The bright orange thread was easily seen threaded, it was like pornography to me. You don't want to listen to me on fashion I've made some beautiful stuff, super proud with myself just to hear have you got it in green?

Bit the bullet and bought 200m of silnylon MTP 😯

The photos are done (I felt inspired)but my ability to actually get anything on this site to work is severely lacking.
