It would be a good move to try before you buy, Although I use my Hornet in the warmer weather due to mosi's, my 1st choice id the TW XL, much less faffing, good luck

Sorry to say, but unless you can get hold of a secondhand Hornet Hammock the chances of getting a new one from TW are virtually nil.

Early last year Neil, the owner of TW Hammocks was having problems sourcing a new tailor in Vietnam as the quality was beginning to drop with his previous one. On the hammockvine I have heard that he has packed up and shipped out of the country, but I don't really know how true this is. The only gear left on his site is the tarp with doors and other smaller bits and bobs. Its a real shame because through his hammocks and tarps, he was really starting to make a name for himself and I was one of his fans. His gear was well made and much cheaper than any other supplier.

Lets hope that he turns up in the future with a load of new gear.

EDIT: Well that didn't take long !!. New TW gear planned to be released very soon.

Hi guys, new hammock and tarp picked up today so TW Hornet Hammock and TW Cornelius Tarp both now available for sale Kermit.

                I've replaced them with a Pak-it-lite F.O.B system - truly amazing.

Hi mate, yeah it's up, tried it out - looks great. Just got it up in the study. Will try and get out over the weekend and give it a proper test run.
Went up in minutes - hammock and tarp. Super impressed mate.

Just checked it out on their website. Thats a nice hammock Stevie, a design that I have never seen before. Looks like its going to keep you really warm in there, and its not a bad price at all.

Really looking forward to hearing how it goes Stevie. I'm assuming that the purchase etc went smoothly?

Yeah. All smooth sailing apart from the 2 week hold up with customs. Apparently they are meant to send you a letter informing of the import charges and how to retrieve your item, still no letter! Good company.
