    Which tarp?

When I got my hammock I needed to upgrade from my poncho/ basha so I got myself a DD 3x3 tarp. It wasn't long before I found it to be a bit too small for being able to function properly for any amount of time. I traded it for a 3x4.5 and have to say I'm pleased I did. I have also found a way of pitching it as a tent as you can like the 3x3 configuration but with the advantage of having a area inside with a sort of 'groundsheet' for want of a better word.

Nice vid. How many different configurations have you found for that particular tarp? Looks like a durable but of kit.

I'm thinking the same keratin. .will getanother 3x3 when I have the spare cash.
There is a picture doing the rounds of multiple tarp configurationso and I'm sure most if not all could be done using it., although some slight adjustments might need to be made

I use an Elite Evolution Basha 3 x 3 metre, My previous bomb proof army basha was just too small even in a diamond config, It's nice to have the extra room with the 3 x 3 for kit and changing, for me personally I am not looking to go any bigger, although many use 4.5 metre, just personal choice

If TW come up trumps with a 3.5 x 3 Cornelius, I would be first in the queue for one. The 3 x 3 one that I already have is fine but I think that the extra 50cm would make the world of difference as far as covering a Hornet hammock. I have tried it on the diagonal but not in bad weather, so don't really know how it would get on in it.

I did have the 4 x 3 Cornelius until I traded it a few weeks ago. They seem massive in comparison.

If I deaign a tarp is there anyone who could get it made up. I'm only just putting out feelers now but I'll be camping in a bivy so it might be nice to have something to act primarily as a wind break for s small burner.
                  Any thoughts?

I've got a DD 3x3 tarp and also a bigger Alpkit Rig 21 which is 2.8x4.3 for if I want a bigger shelter.

The Alpkit is really well made from a tough but light material and with side tie out points that are amazingly useful for creating extra height and space without needing to use clingons, it's a quality bit of kit. Expensive due to the materials and quality but highly recommended if you have the budget.

                        Cheers, Paul

I have a DD 4x4 that is great, bombproof and loads of coverage. Too heavy and hard to pack for me now though. I have a few diy tarps that I use now, only got pics of one though. It is a hex with doors, 11ft ridgeline and 10ft wide.

                            Looks good that Craig.

DD 3x3 and a Hennessy Hex fly 70D for me (although the DD wont be used for the Hammock anymore as it's a bit short), might look at getting some Grizz beaks if they'll fit on the Hennessy.
