How do you set up your hammock

for me personally I use home made 25mm webbing tree huggers connected to home made whoopie slings with karabiners that way once set up if I need to adjust the hammock it's just a case of alter the whoopie slings & job done will get some pic's up of my set up after next camp

I use trehuggers and whoopie slings. Thats what I started with and since it works brilliantly for me, I see no reason to change that. My suspension system is all from DD Hammocks. Simply because they had them available. But the hammock is a different brand :-)

I am also completely useless at making stuff. specially if knots are involved....lol

Another one here for homemade tree straps and whoopie slings. Also use the Marlin Spike Hitch but have in the past used crabs with doubled over knotted hammock rope.

I ones used tree huggers and whoopies, I have now moved onto 25mm webbing and buckles. Just throw it around the tree with a Dutch clip on the end job done.

I use 25mm tree huggers attached to my homemade whoopies by a marlin spike hitch, I have experimented with loads of other methods but this one suits me, light and very quick

I use 25mm strapping, tied to the tree with a Siberian hitch, a double ring set on the hammock plus ridge line

I'm using 25mm tree straps with karabiners or a Marlin spike hitch with toggles......................but I've got some soft shackles to try next time I'm out.

I've changed tarps to a Hennessy Hex fly since the pic was taken.
