    Snug as a bug ๐Ÿ›

Ok ladies and gents the story starts with my better half going of on a work conference. And relieving me of hot water bottle duty thay I seem to be employed for. Giving me the time to have a test for the 1St ever time in a hammock. Just in side mind you. not jumping in to lion taming before banking. Anyway I found myself trapped in a block of ice around 3am the next morning I was using a roll mat backed with reflectives. So I decided to purchase a DD Under Quilt mostly because I hav a DD hammock and the price may stop the better half from turning in to the bitter half. When she finds out that is. So since Iv used sed quilt and it's very good. But just for giggle today after I fixed me sleeping bags zip as it had become misaligned. I thought I'd try it on the old ladys hammock (a cheap hammock I purchased to stop catching her in mine) and I placed it over the hammock like a cocoon like id seen on a video by Shug. And to be honest I was snug. And now I'm wondering is there cocoons out there for sale so far Iv seen the snugpak. If any of you fine people out there can think of a list or experiences of using sleeping bag got any hints would be much obliged.

I love the fact you have got your tarp rigged inside.
It shows proper dedication to tinkering ๐Ÿ˜‰

There are a few on ebay by different makers, but not many in the UK, I've just been on an over nighter where a guy did his own cocoon from an old 2 season bag, temps got down to -3 but he was ok with that and a blanket

There are YT vids of how to mod a sleeping bag just by cutting a hole near the hood

I was thinking myself of adding a zip to the foot box of the sleeping bag In the horizontal. So if I just need it as a sleeping bag I can just zip it up again. Or on the hammock open it up fully so it doesn't restrict the spread of the hammock. As for having my tarp set up I was adding my new sleeve that I purchased the same time as the under quilt. And also trying the prusik knot soft shackle I made just wating for some dyneema to turn up now. By the way I asked the special lady in my life if I cud add some screw eyes to the floor and skirting for the guy lines. I'm no expert but her answer of "yer that's a good idea go for it" was really a trap.
