I'm not sure how this will work for me as many of my items are custom one offs made for the person. With hammocking being small and very niche in the UK I suspect that many others will also struggle with these rules

Am I to have a page open for these long banal threads on choosing which FP down or fabric ? I would seem more likely that this would be just moved off site and onto texts, phone or email.

The rules have been put together as a starting point with a view to discussing them and adjusting them where needed. The primary concern with sales on the forum is fraud, which I'm sure in your case isn't ever going to be an issue. Then there is safety, which is an area I'm looking into at the minute. I'm sure there is a way to make discussions about custom products easier while following the rules at the same time, and yes, I agree that your sales posts would not be the place to have a long, multi-post discussion sorting out the finer details with a customer.

How do you usually discuss custom orders, Scotty?

My usual custom orders usually follow a general guiding the customers around the subject of getting a simple setup that suits their needs, cost etc and they can be very long but nothing in there that needs to be hidden particularly but at the same time somewhat private (a large customer needing stronger gear etc)

A better option could be a semi private PM network where if anyone is feeling ripped off or there's suspicious trading it's open enough that moderators or other traders can open them up and check there's nothing dodgy going on.

Maybe use this semi PM for Paypal payments only and if anyone's wanting cash etc only use a fully visible exchange

I think that's a good compromise Kieren. I've no issues with the ammendments. Feel free to flag me down if I step on any toes or anything like that.

Cool. It seems fairly sensible, I'll check your inbox capacity and make sure it's large. The people you're dealing with may need reminding to empty theirs if you're having long discussions.
                Any problems let me know.
Nobody's stepping on any toes, we've just got to get some sort of order of things as we go into the new season.
                Cheers Scotty.
